Van Lith was selected with the 11th overall pick by the Chicago Sky during the WNBA’s 2025 Draft ceremony on Monday, where the former TCU Horned Frogs star will reunite with Angel Reese, whom she played alongside at Louisiana State University (LSU) in the 2023-24 season.

After she was selected, the ESPN broadcast showed Van Lith hugging her parents before she took the stage to greet WNBA commissioner Cathy Engelbert and accept her Sky jersey.
However, one moment was caught on camera, as the WNBA rookie was spotted sharing a sweet kiss with her NBA player boyfriend.

The video showed Suggs clapping as he waited for Van Lith off to the side of the room, surrounded by a camera, while other draft picks were being announced.
Not many realize that they have been rumored to be dating since 2021.
The Magic star, wearing a Skycap, spoke to Mirror U.S. Sports and revealed that Van Lith being called by WNBA commissioner Cathy Engelbert was the highlight of the night.
“Jalen means a lot to me,” Van Lith said to Mirror U.S. Sports when asked about Suggs’ presence at the draft.
“And to have him be here for such an important night in my career, it means everything to me as I was there for his night too when he got drafted.
“And to see us both support each other and show up in ways that is not always easy, it means a lot.”

Van Lith’s resurgent 2024-25 season culminated Monday night, with the Chicago Sky selecting her with the No. 11 overall pick.
Her position in the first round locks in her first contract under the rookie wage scale.
Spotrac confirmed her salary, revealing that as the No. 11 pick, she will sign a four-year contract worth up to $320,040.
