Pregnant woman constantly bothered by a police dog.

The Houston International Airport was busy as usual, with lots of people hurrying to catch their flights. In the middle of the crowd, Shadow, a trained German Shepherd police dog, suddenly started barking at a woman standing in a long line. She was seven months pregnant and got scared by the dog’s behavior.
The officers asked the woman to come forward. They carefully checked her bags but didn’t find anything unusual. Still, Shadow kept sniffing her and barking.
The officers didn’t know what to do next. Should they let her leave?
She was clearly very pregnant and the whole situation was making her upset and uneasy.

Then, just as they were about to let her go, Agent Grant remembered that Shadow was also trained to detect medical problems. Could something be wrong with her?
To be safe, he told her he wanted to call for medical help to check on her. At first, she was unsure, but she finally agreed.
To everyone’s surprise, the doctors found that the woman had a uterine rupture — a rare and dangerous problem during pregnancy where the wall of the uterus tears.
She was quickly taken to the nearest hospital, where she gave birth early.

Her baby was very small and had to stay in an incubator, but thankfully, both the mother and baby were okay.
That day, Shadow saved two lives. His sharp senses helped him notice something was wrong with the baby.
Dogs have up to 300 million smell receptors and can pick up on body changes or smells caused by illness or medical emergencies.
