Smith, known for his unfiltered takes, appeared on the ABC talk show Tuesday to discuss the political landscape. But when Behar attempted to downplay Trump’s win and cast doubt on its legitimacy, Smith wasted no time pushing back with facts the left doesn’t want to hear.

Behar mocked Trump’s early weeks back in office, sarcastically quipping that “six weeks feels like six years, doesn’t it?” She went on to dismiss his victory, questioning the so-called “mandate” he claims to have.
“He’s been parading around with his cronies, calling this election a ‘landslide’ and a ‘blowout,’ but he only won the popular vote by 1.5 percent. One of the smallest margins in history. And he didn’t even win a full 50 percent of the vote. So, what mandate is he talking about?” Behar sneered.
Smith wasn’t having it.
“It is a mandate,” Smith shot back. “And I’ll tell you why.”
Though he made it clear that he’s not a Trump supporter, Smith emphasized that he is a supporter of the truth. And the truth, according to the numbers, is that Trump won decisively.
He broke it down for Behar and the panel, pointing out that Trump dominated every key battleground state, expanded his support among Black, Hispanic, and young voters, and saw a major shift in Republican support nationwide.

“89% of counties moved to the right,” Smith stated emphatically. “That’s a mandate.”
Looking directly at the panel, he challenged their refusal to accept reality.
“How can anyone look at those numbers and say, ‘That’s not a mandate’?”
Smith then turned to the Democratic Party’s bigger problem: a failed strategy.
“If you’re the Democrats and you lost 49.8 percent to 48.3 percent, and you’re sitting there looking at that 1.5 percent difference, you’re going to convince yourself, ‘We were close, let’s stay the course.’ No! You need a new strategy.”
He warned that while some voters—particularly minorities—might regret backing Trump, the reality is that many cast their votes against what Democrats were offering, rather than for Trump himself.

Smith’s sharp political insights have been gaining traction in recent weeks, particularly after he shocked Real Time with Bill Maher’s audience with his brutally honest assessment of Trump’s victory. His willingness to call out the Democratic Party’s failures has even sparked speculation about a possible presidential bid.
Though he has repeatedly stated he has no desire to run for office, Smith has hinted that he could enter the race in 2028, particularly after Kamala Harris’ defeat.
Speaking in an exclusive interview, he didn’t hold back when discussing the possibility.
“If I had the money, if my funds were in order, and the American people came to me and said, ‘Yo, we want you to run,’ I’d think about it,” Smith admitted.
He made it clear, though, that he wouldn’t be entering politics without financial security.

“I’m not walking into the White House broke. That’s not happening. I need my money, my home, my financial situation locked down. But if I had a real shot to win? Yeah, I’d consider it.”
And when it comes to the Democratic field, he’s confident he’d win.
“I trust I could beat every single one of them,” Smith stated. “Kamala Harris, Pete Buttigieg, Tim Walz—you name it, I’d beat them.”
Whether Smith seriously considers a political future remains to be seen. But one thing is certain—he’s not afraid to challenge the left’s narratives, and he’s not backing down anytime soon.
