An Idaho teenager has spoken out about the agonizing moment she was left dangling from a power line by her broken leg following a devastating car crash.
On May 22, 2021, a then-16-year-old Kennedy Littledike had been on a drive with two friends as a way to distract her as she struggled after a recent breakup.
However, while on a mountain drive a short distance from her home, Littledike – who was crying behind the wheel – suddenly swerved to the side of the road and collided with a telephone pole.
In an interview with Inside Edition, she admits that she should have pulled over after becoming emotional while driving, but says everything “happened so quickly”.

After striking the pole, the vehicle flipped and rolled – throwing Littledike and her two friends from the car.
In an unthinkable and horrendous circumstance, Littledike landed 30 feet in the air and dangling from a power line.
The impact with the cable snapped her femur, and the crash also caused her arm to be “torn off”, held on only by “the skin on her back”.
In a scene from a horror movie, the teen revealed how her own snapped leg was left dangling in front of her own face.
And although the collision sounds fatal – it was actually Littledike’s unlikely landing that saved her life, as she explained: “A lot of people ask, ‘How did you not bleed out?’ Well, the main artery in my leg was pinched off by the power line, and then the main artery in my arm was actually cauterized when I got electrocuted.”
Littledike spent an hour dangling from the cable as she waited to be rescued.
“I remember I was drowning in my blood because it was running from my leg, it was running from my arm, and it was going in my nose, and I was just wiping it out because it was literally drowning me,” the teen – now 19 years old – recalled.
