Over 3000 people converged on Forman Park in Syracuse, mirroring demonstrations all over the country to protest President Donald Trump and his federal policies they say is pushing America in the wrong direction Saturday, April 5, 2025
our democracy and our democracy democracy and our democracy are you sick of this president are you terrified of losing your healthc care your rights as a human being in the United States of America oh my you belong here you are in the right place today we come together in strength to shout from the streets directly into the White House “Hands up our democracy.
” I’m so disgusted with the things that he’s done to this country i am very upset about what he’s done to our heroes at Arlington getting rid of our black heroes our Latino heroes and our women heroes some somehow now you can’t look them up in the National Archives we are not here because we are we are here because we must be we are not here because we seek conflict we are here because we protect our dignity when they target Medicare they harm our grandmothers when they gut our schools they steal from our children when they
poison our water they damage our hope when they dismantle our democracy piece by piece they undermine what connects us as a society when immigrant rights are under attack what do we do fight back when trans rights are under attack what do we do stand up fight back out hands off our social security hands off our Medicare hands off our Medicaid hands off our schools and universities hands off our bodies hands off our beloved LGBT brothers and sisters we are standing up for justice want to know what all the fuss is we are standing up
