She set a new WNBA record with 15 straight double-doubles, and did so AS A ROOKIE.

She became the fastest player in WNBA history to 20 double-doubles… AS A ROOKIE.

Angel Reese isn’t knocking down the 3-ball consistently yet or making flashy passes, but she has been dominant in her own right.

Through 27 games, Reese has college 332 total rebounds, or 12.3 boards per game. That leads the ENTIRE W, ahead of even A’ja Wilson at 311 total boards.

At 6-foot-3, Reese is outrebounding her 6-foot-7 starting front court teammate Kamilla Cardoso! Reese at 12.3 boards per game, Cardoso at 7.8 per game.

After breaking the record for fastest to 20 double-doubles, Reese quickly pivoted away from the subject. Instead, she focused on the team’s loss and how they could get better.

At 11-16, the Chicago Sky aren’t there yet, but there’s real promise with her alongside Kamilla Cardoso as a fearsome front court duo.

Despite all the jokes that folks want to make about her “stat-padding,” he’s 24th in total points this season and second among all rookies behind Caitlin Clark. And she’s doing this while shooting just 39% from the field.

She may not end up winning Rookie of the Year, but Angel Reese has been damn impressive and deserves everyone’s respect.
